Campaign
We will never stop to speak on behalf of the voiceless. Animal Friends Jogja campaign programs are destined to raise awareness of animal welfare issues, doing the grassroots movement with the society, spread education and find more compassionate solution for the cause that we are fighting for. Below are the list of our active campaigns.
Dog Meat Free Indonesia
Millions of dogs are brutally killed every year. Many are stolen family pets, collected from the streets and rural communities, then transported throughout Indonesia to supply the demand for dog meat.
Stop Traveling Dolphin Circus
This beautiful and intelligent marine mammal is confined in a narrow pond, made hungry and used as entertainment from city to city. The practice of exploitation that is still ongoing in Indonesia
Care for Carriage Working Horses
In Yogyakarta, which still has carriage working horses as a tourism attraction, working horse is one of the domains that are lagging behind in implementing animal welfare.
Go Cage Free
The ability to feel pain, stress, instinct and fear possessed by animals is ignored, especially animals that are cultivated as food sources (farm animal). Animals are never seen as sentient that have natural traits like humans.
Ban Masked Dancing Monkey
Monkeys are taken from their natural habitat. Facing the risk of being exposed to human diseases, monkeys were trained cruelly and then exploited to make money for humans.
We are simply friends who share similar views on treating non human animals with the respect and compassion they so rightly deserve.
Including the right to live free from unnecessary suffering and exploitation.
